Mercedes head into the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend in full control of the championship and with an engine upgrade to boot. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are first and second in the standings, with the latter 38 points clear of Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.
Last Sunday’s Russian Grand Prix was a slightly controversial affair in the sense that although Lewis Hamilton won the race, but it was arguably his teammate Valtteri Bottas who deserved to.
The Canadian Grand Prix was always going to be packed full of highs and lows, especially for the two drivers who are currently doing battle at the top of the drivers’ standings.
So, Formula 1 rolled into Barcelona at the weekend and once again it was a thrilling affair with plenty of highs and lows.
All eyes turned to the Chinese Grand Prix, with Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton looking to lock horns once again.
Many people are already excited ahead of the new F1 season, especially as they’re eagerly anticipating what defending world champion Lewis Hamilton will be capable of this time around.
