Last week we did a piece on the Irish Open looking at some of the contenders for the title. We tipped the consistent Lorenzo-Vera as a somewhat outsider to take the trophy. He was in contention and would have finished much higher than tied ninth, if it was not for a formidable final round by Jon Rahm who carded a final round of eight-under par.
The Proteas took on table toppers Australia who were tipped to win the game with ease. The Proteas proved that they are still a top side and that they aren’t just pushovers. The Proteas spoiled the Aussies party and their fixture in the semi-finals.
